  Chapter 19 The fangirls and Thaddeus made it to Auradon, but it wasn’t easy as Zevon was trying to fight his way free from Thaddeus’s tight grip on his forearms and Yazmine being totally scared and confused on what would happen. They landed in front of Mal and Ben’s palace where a whole host of their palace guards were waiting for them. Thaddeus shoved Zevon to the ground at the guard’s feet with disdainful look, as if Zevon was something very dirty and rotten, which, well, he was.   Chapter 18 Lexi awoke the morning after homecoming, still feeling the night’s giddiness as she made herself breakfast. Peaches and cottage cheese. Yummy! Just as she was going back up to room to text her friend’s good morning like she always did, she found someone had already texted her. It was Ben on their group chat. Mad Maddy finally fessed up! Would it be alright if we called you at 1:00? Lexi was just texting back when Breanna got there first. Yeah, that works! Lexi finished typing her message and sent it. That would be excellent! So, at 12:30, they all headed to Breanna and Gabrielle’s house so Mal and Ben could just call one person and they would all hear what needed to be heard.   Chapter 17 The very second Thaddeus got home, his whole family pounced on him for answers if the night was a nightmare or an absolute daydream. Thaddeus chuckled. “We actually didn’t see very much of homecoming because something really weird happened,” he said then launched into the story. When he was done, the whole group was wide-eyed and speechless. “Woah, that was a lot,” Austin said. “But, nicely done!” Hadley and Lucy ran over to Thaddeus’s side of the table and both looked at him in amazement. “We knew you guys were gonna be together!” they squealed in unison as they bounced up and down.   Chapter 16 Lexi and Thaddeus eventually headed back into the hospital room to tell everyone the good news. They held hands, as if to give a hint. “Hey guys! We have some news,” Lexi said excitedly. “What is it?” Evie wondered. Thaddeus and Lexi smiled at each other. “We’re boyfriend and girlfriend now,” Thaddeus said, grinning widely as though all of his dreams had just come true, which, I guess they did. “Finally!!” everyone and I mean EVERYONE in the room exclaimed. Lexi looked around confusedly as Evie turned to Doug, smiling ironically. “Alright, pay up, you,” she said. Doug sighed and grabbed his wallet from out of his pocket. “Wait, what?   Chapter 15 “Okay, minor setback,” Lexi said, trying not to sound concerned, and failing. Breanna looked at her like she was nuts. “Minor?! She just died!” she reminded Lexi. Lexi nodded. “We can salvage this!” First, they tried the defibrillator about four or five and each time it didn’t work. “Okay, we’ll try this!” Then they did a healing incantation (and, no, not the one from Tangled,) but that didn’t work either. They were a very subdued lot, indeed. Lexi chewed on her bottom lip as she started slipping back into her panicked, not-good-in-a-crisis self. “Um, okay, this could still be fine, we just have to just write another healing incantation, we’re gonna be fine- ” “Lexi!” Breanna shouted above Lexi’s panicking. “She’s gone.
