So sorry for the delay!!! Chapter 19 and 20 of the Fangirls, book two rewrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D
Chapter 19
The fangirls and Thaddeus made it to Auradon, but it wasn’t
easy as Zevon was trying to fight his way free from Thaddeus’s tight
grip on his forearms and Yazmine being totally scared and confused on what
would happen. They landed in front of Mal and Ben’s palace where a whole host
of their palace guards were waiting for them. Thaddeus shoved Zevon to the
ground at the guard’s feet with disdainful look, as if Zevon was something very
dirty and rotten, which, well, he was. The guards seized Zevon by the arms and
dragged him off to be placed on the Isle of the Doomed.
“Thank you,” Ben said over the phone the guards and to the fangirls and Thaddeus respectively. “For getting them here."
"Wait," Lexi called, trying to run forward, but Thaddeus wouldn't let her.
"Lexi, no. I'm not letting you anywhere near him again." he whispered in her ear. Lexi smiled up at him.
"It's okay," she whispered back, kissing him on the cheek. "Trust me."
Thaddeus paused before reluctantly letting her run forward. Lexi stepped in front of Zevon, smiling sweetly, before her smile turned wicked and she thrust a fist into Zevon's already broken nose. Zevon screamed like a little girl as nose started dripping fresh blood and Lexi, her smile serine as it usually was, skipped back to Thaddeus, satisfied.
"Wow," Thaddeus said, grinning at her. "Remind me to never get on your bad side."
"Don't worry," Lexi replied. "There won't be any chance of that."
Ben's face broadcasted that he really wanted to laugh, but was fighting it back for the sake of diplomacy. “Now, we need to figure out what to do with this little one.”
Yazmine got down her knees and put her hands together and
began to plead.
“Please, Your Majesty! I never wanted any part of this, but
he made me do it!” she begged. Ben smiled and chuckled.
“No, of course not, kid. How old are you?”
Yazmine got to her feet and gave a small smile as she stared
at the ground.
“Nine,” she whispered. Ben smiled again as he scratched his
chin.
“Hm. So, you are almost done with third grade?” he asked.
Yazmine nodded shyly. “Who’s been looking after you?”
Yazmine frowned. “My brother. Where will I go?” she said
tremulously.
“How would you like to start going to Auradon Elementary
school and live with Mal and I in the meantime?” Ben asked as Mal smiled and
nodded in agreement. Yazmine smiled and gasped. Then she nodded quite
enthusiastically. Mal and Ben smiled at each other and then at Yazmine, feeling
even more excited than they had when they discussed letting her into their
family.
After the fangirls and Thaddeus got back to Breanna’s house
and they all dispersed back to their own houses, Thaddeus asked Lexi if he
could drive her home just in case Zevon decided to make a surprise appearance.
Lexi had chuckled, but agreed. Thaddeus held her hand as they walked to his car
and he opened Lexi’s door and helped her in, then got in himself. As they
started driving down the road, Lexi took Thaddeus’s hand and brushed a light
kiss on his knuckle.
“Thaddeus, may I ask you a question?” she said gently.
Thaddeus smiled softly.
“Of course, Fangirl,” he replied.
“When did you start having a crush on me back in the day?”
Lexi wondered. Thaddeus shrugged.
“Somewhere around the first week of school when you and your
family arrived. I was ten, you were nine, and I had seen you around in the
hallway and seen how kind you were and how you looked, because, let’s face it,
you’re gorgeous!” Thaddeus said as Lexi blushed.
“Thanks!” she giggled. “You’re not too bad yourself.”
Thaddeus shot Lexi a charismatic smile before putting his
full focus back on the road. “Anyway, then you stood up for me when I was
getting bullied in the hallway and you were so kind to me and that’s when I really
started to like you. Then I officially met you a couple of weeks later and
became a total chicken, especially when I found out I was friends with your
brothers,”
Lexi chuckled again as she leaned her forehead against
Thaddeus’s hand. “Did I hurt your feelings when I basically friend-zoned you?”
she asked curiously.
“I will admit, I was a little disappointed with that answer,
but then your brothers reminded that we were WAY too young to be in a
relationship. Which, we definitely were,” Thaddeus explained as he laughed and
Lexi laughed right along with him.
“I see,” she said. Thaddeus grinned.
“Then I just got used to being your friend and I liked being
your friend. I’ll be honest, though, I like this much better,” he said sweetly.
Lexi flushed light rosy pink and kissed Thaddeus on the cheek.
“I like this better, too,” she whispered happily.
After that, they just chatted until they pulled up to Lexi’s
house and Thaddeus stopped the car, got out, and opened up Lexi’s door and
helped her out. Lexi smiled at Thaddeus and took his hands in both of hers and
kissed him.
“Thanks for always being there for me,” she told him when
she had pulled away.
“Well, anyone can top a villain,” Thaddeus whispered,
blushing light pink. Lexi smiled at him, shaking her head.
“Maybe so, but you’re the loveliest person I’ve ever met,”
she said, leaning her head against Thaddeus’s chest, her comment and her
physical closeness making Thaddeus’s blush deepen to cherry red.
“Huh, I think that’s what I thought when I met you,”
Thaddeus said sweetly. Lexi giggled, thinking how lucky she was to have
Thaddeus in her life.
“Thaddeus, do you know why I tripped down the stairs
yesterday?” Lexi asked.
“Why?” Thaddeus said curiously.
“It’s because I saw the way you were looking at me,” Lexi
whispered as Thaddeus’s cheeks flushed. He hadn’t realized that she’d noticed
that. “No one’s ever looked at me the way you look at me.”
“That’s weird,” Thaddeus replied.
“What do you mean?” Lexi queried.
“It’s weird that no one else has looked at you like that. You’re
just so wonderful that I couldn’t help it. It’s weird that no one else has
noticed that,” Thaddeus whispered romantically, kissing Lexi’s forehead. Lexi,
all of the sudden, stood on her toes and made the kiss transition to their lips
and they enjoyed that moment for a grand total of three seconds before Conner
and James slammed open the front door.
“Oi!” James yelled as Thaddeus instantly pulled away and
letting out a scream, ran to his side of the car, got in, and drove away as
fast as he could. Don’t be too disappointed, though. As soon as Thaddeus got
home, he pulled out his phone and opened the chat he shared with just Lexi.
‘So sorry we were interrupted. I completely forgot to say
‘I love you’’
It wasn’t long before Lexi got back to him.
‘You’re fine! My brothers will get over it. So… you think
I’m a lovely person?’
Thaddeus smiled and chuckled as he started typing a reply.
‘Always. I love you so much, Fangirl’
‘I love you, too, cutie’
As you probably suspected, Thaddeus blushed.
Soon, summer vacation started with lots of different things.
First, Lexi and her family went on a trip to Playa Del Karmen, Mexico and had
an excellent time there. A couple months after that, James and Conner went to
college together and left again, (Thaddeus breathed a huge sigh of relief on
that day,) and the fangirls and Thaddeus started school again. Gabrielle
starting as sophomore, the rest of the fangirls starting as juniors, and
Thaddeus starting as senior. The semester went by with lots of classes, homework
and fun! Soon, it was time for the homecoming dance again! Lexi and Thaddeus
were obviously going together, Breanna and her now boyfriend, Henry, were going
together as well. Kaylee asked Peter again and he had enthusiastically said
yes, and Bridgett was asked by Spencer, which she accepted with barely
suppressed squeal. Then finally, Oliver asked Gabrielle on her first date,
(which was the dance,) and she didn’t even try to hide her excitement. Before
the dance, they all went to Olive Garden for dinner and carpooled to
homecoming. Shortly after that, graduation was there and Thaddeus graduated top
of his class and he decided he would like to go on a service trip like Conner
and James had. Lexi was very happy for Thaddeus, of course, but she would miss
him terribly because he would be gone for two years. Only, what’s that to true
love?
Chapter 20
Thaddeus was serving the good people in Ireland. He had even
learned to speak Gaelic, which did come in handy as some of the road signs
there were written in Gaelic. Thaddeus also had a companion to come with him to
serve around the town. One day, Thaddeus and his companion were out, serving as
they did most days, when one middle aged woman told them about the claddagh
ring. The circlet was like any other circlet on ring except it ended in two
hands the held up a heart, and there was crown on sitting atop the heart. And
there was a little tradition that went with the claddagh ring. You see, if one
is single, the ring goes upside down on your right hand. If one is in a
relationship, the ring goes right side up on your right hand. If one is engaged
to be married, the ring goes upside down on your left hand. And finally, if one
is married, the ring goes right side up on your left hand. Thaddeus was
enthralled by the ring, and even more enthralled by the tradition. He knew that
Lexi had a claddagh ring, direct from Ireland and he kind of wanted to get her
one. In fact, when he got home, he knew a very special way he could get her
one. If she would say yes…
