  Chapter 2 After the summer ended, the school year started up! Lexi was so excited to go back but also bit nervous. Some things never change. Of course, they met up in their corner before classes. This, of course was an ordinary thing to the rest of them, but Lexi almost cried because she missed this so much and was so happy. She was back home again and that felt amazing.   Chapter 1 That summer, the Pieper’s house was packed for the last time and they got in their cars and drove all of the way to Albuquerque New Mexico to their new house. Well, the house they would live in before they built their forever home. Anyway, all of their stuff was there and they just had to unpack everything so the fangirls and their one yes-fanboy came to help them unpack on the Fourth of July. I let out a sigh of exasperation as I tug on my red Dutch braid. I always insist that my hair be braided because it will be out of my face. “Oh, great,” I groan softly, but I know my mother heard me. She has ears like a bat.   The Princess in Shining Armor by Bella Simmons Once upon a time, as most stories begin, came a new story. The story of a knight in shining armor and a fair, beautiful princess. Now, before you get excited at the prospect of that beautiful, romantic tale that gets told time and time again, this is not your typical knight and princess story. In fact, it’s quite different. Now, this story does contain some of those traditional elements: a fair princess awaiting rescue, a knight in shining armor, a white horse, a mission to slay the dragon and save the princess. It’s a bit like that, yes, but haven’t you ever wondered if a princess might want to do more than that? That she might not be your average princess curtseying her way through life? Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that traditional formula, but don’t you think that sometimes, there’s a rare princess who might want to be, a knight?

It was named Fablehaven. And she was on book four. She really enjoying it! She really loved Gavin. She desperately wanted Kendra and Gavin to end up together! But she was reading something about Gavin turning into a, dragon? “It must be some cool power or something,” she muttered and read on. But she read something else about him eating Dougan and shoving Mara off the cliff and trying to kill Kendra! She gasped. Did the new power mess up his memories? She kept reading on. But as the chapter ended, it didn’t get resolved. Putting the bookmark back in the well-worn book, she couldn’t believe that Gavin was the antagonist.   Chapter 20, Happily ever after Hi guys! It’s Lexi. The author has been telling the story so far but left this last chapter up to me. Anyway, Thaddeus helped me out to the car and sped off to the hospital. I checked my phone as another contraction swept over me as I sharply inhaled. “Are you alright?” Thaddeus asked in concern. I nodded. “Yes, I’m fine,” I panted. I check the time. 12:00 A:M, it read. Geez, it was late! Thaddeus drove into the parking lot of the hospital and found a parking spot. Then Thaddeus came around to my side and opened my door and then proceeded to pick me up and carried me to the door of the hospital. I was about to tell him that I can walk to the door myself with the aid of his shoulder, but then think better of it because I feel so lousy.
