The last chapter of the Fangirls trilogy!!!! Chapter 20 of Fangirls, book three!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

 

Chapter 20, Happily ever after

Hi guys! It’s Lexi. The author has been telling the story so far but left this last chapter up to me. Anyway, Thaddeus helped me out to the car and sped off to the hospital. I checked my phone as another contraction swept over me as I sharply inhaled. “Are you alright?” Thaddeus asked in concern. I nodded.

“Yes, I’m fine,” I panted. I check the time. 12:00 A:M, it read. Geez, it was late! Thaddeus drove into the parking lot of the hospital and found a parking spot. Then Thaddeus came around to my side and opened my door and then proceeded to pick me up and carried me to the door of the hospital. I was about to tell him that I can walk to the door myself with the aid of his shoulder, but then think better of it because I feel so lousy. He put me down at the door and slung my arm around his shoulders and helped me walk. Bue he’s so tall that I was practically being picked up off the ground each time he took a step. Then he said to the woman at the door my name and that my water had broken. Then we were escorted to a room and they left me alone to change into a hospital gown. White with little blue polka dots. Then I climbed into the hospital bed in there and Thaddeus kissed my forehead and told me that he would go get the hospital bag and that he would be right back. While I waited, I take some deep breaths to both calm my nerves and deal with the contractions which had gotten to eight minutes apart now. Soon after Thaddeus came back with the hospital bag, the doctor came in and told us that I was dilated four centimeters and they hooked me up to a fetal heart monitor and an IV and then asked me if I wanted an epidural, which I accepted. They gave me a small shot before they give me the huge shot. Even though I couldn’t feel the shot, I still gripped Thaddeus’s hand with all of the strength I had. And then, we waited. Thaddeus packed the books we’re reading in the hospital bag and we did that for a while until the doctor came in and tells us that I am at eight centimeters and then we just talked and played two truths and a lie which was pretty much pointless because we know each other so well. Then finally, the doctor tells us that I’m at ten centimeters and it’s time to push. But I don’t feel at all ready. I feel downright terrified as I turned to Thaddeus. “I can’t do this,” I said softly. “What if I die like Mal did?”. Thaddeus gives me a look of sympathy and he looks a little surprised.

“I’ve been a little scared about that too. But you know what? We don’t even need to worry about that. Because you are healthy, the baby’s healthy and even if the impossible were to happen, I will always save you,” Thaddeus whispered consolingly before he kissed me. “You can do this,”. I smile at him as two tears slip down my cheeks. Then I nodded.

“I’m ready,” I said and Thaddeus smiled at me.

“That’s the spirit!” he said and then I knew that I was ready. After about two minutes, the baby was here. A sweet little baby girl wrapped in a lavender Afghan that my mom made. We had already decided her name and it was Ashlyn Marie Hawthorne, after Thaddeus’s mom. From what I could see, she had Thaddeus’s dark brown hair and my hazel eyes and she was absolutely beautiful.

“She takes after you,” Thaddeus said with a smile. I smiled back and kissed him. Then I hand him his daughter. He looked a little nervous at first but then, his whole face lit up. And unless my eyes deceived me, I saw two little sparks flout out of her hands. One lavender, and one dark green. Little Ashlyn was already bringing so much happiness to our lives. Our best friends, my fangirls, were like aunts to her. Once upon a time, there was a little nine-year-old girl who was scared to go to family school when it turned to be the best that ever happened to her. Once upon a time she met her best friends that impacted her life for the better and her future husband who brought so much love and happiness to her life. Once upon a time they saved Auradon. We would all always be best friends and would be forevermore, The Fangirls.
