  Chapter 3, Surprises Once upon a regular Tuesday, Karen Keene was sitting at home on her couch, looking on her Facebook, just browsing. She was just making fun of someone who posted about some stupid movie that had just come out, when she saw something that immediately caught her attention. She saw a post from Cristy Pieper. Or, Cristy Tolbert as her name was now.   Chapter 2, True Love A couple of months had passed. Thaddeus had started going to the same college that Lexi was going to. Except, when you are a man and go on a service trip like that, when you get home, all the girls will stare at you. And that’s what happened to Thaddeus. He was just on the campus and all the girls started talking to him and whispering about him and staring at him. He could tell this irritated Lexi, though, which he found a little funny. Eventually, he shouted across the campus, “You guys know I’m not single, right?” “Aww!” all the girls said in unison and started muttering amongst themselves and Lexi, who was standing right next to Thaddeus, started laughing. Thaddeus had started taking a photography course because he was into that kind of thing.   Chapter 1, Permission A few weeks after Thaddeus got home, he was invited over to Lexi’s house for dinner. Lexi had called him and asked him if he wanted to come over and before he had accepted, he had to ask a serious question. “Are your brothers’ home?” he asked. “No,” Lexi had replied. “I’ll be there!” he had said enthusiastically. Lexi started laughing. “You know they might have forgiven you now,” Lexi giggled. Thaddeus let out a disbelieving chuckle. “Yeah, right after they ambush me as soon as I walk in the door,” Thaddeus joked. Lexi laughed even harder. So, Thaddeus came over for dinner.   Chapter 20, A Happy Ending Thaddeus had been out on his service trip for about five months. He was really enjoying it! He got to serve people, sometimes he got to eat at other people’s houses and they were all very kind! He loved it when he got to call home every week and talk to his family! He even learned to speak fluent Gaelic for the service trip, which came in handy on some days. One day, when he was out with his companion, (When you’re on a service trip like this, you’re given a companion that goes with you when you serve. Except every six weeks, you or your companion could get transferred to another part of where you’re serving) he happened to learn about the Claddagh ring. He recognized the name from somewhere and then he remembered where. Lexi had told him about it because she had Irish heritage and a Claddagh ring.
