Chapter 19 of Fangirls, book three!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D
Chapter 19, The baby’s coming
Lexi woke up to Thaddeus kissing her
forehead. Lexi’s eyes opened and she smiled at him. “Oh, I’m sorry,” he
whispered. “I didn’t mean to wake you,”.
“That’s alright. There are worse
things to wake up to,” Lexi said as she sat up and kissed Thaddeus’s cheek.
Thaddeus smiled.
“I’m glad it’s Saturday,” Thaddeus
said happily. Lexi smiled.
“Ah, good, no work today,” Lexi
sighed. “I think some girls would like to know about our little surprise,”.
Thaddeus laughed.
“Please video chat with them! I need
to see their faces,” he chuckled. Lexi nodded and called them on Google meet.
They all answered pretty quick.
“Now will you tell us what’s up?”
Gabrielle asked as though no time had passed between now and then and sounding
exasperated. Kaylee and Bridgett nodded in agreement. Lexi chuckled.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” she said,
sounding secretive. Kaylee cringed.
“Just tell us! I’m going to lose it!”
she exclaimed. Lexi sighed jokingly. Then she dropped the bomb. It was like a
bomb went off when the fangirls reacted.
“OH, MY GOSH!! THAT'S AMAZING!!!”
Bridgett exclaimed. “Why didn’t tell us yesterday?”
“She didn’t want to take away from
Breanna,” Thaddeus answered for her even though he was still laughing.
“Oh, well that makes sense,” Gabrielle
admitted. “Have you thought of any names yet?”. Thaddeus laughed again.
“We just found yesterday!” Thaddeus
said in surprise.
“I was just wondering,” Gabrielle said
sheepishly. After that, they said goodbye and congratulations. And the months
went on. Once Breanna came home from her honeymoon, Lexi told her and she
freaked out. Thaddeus sought for a much better job and started working for a
company as a photographer. Lexi still continued in her job until she hit six
months of pregnancy, when her and Thaddeus agreed she should stay home. At four
months, Lexi and Thaddeus found out the gender of their baby, but that doesn’t
mean you get to find out right now, ha, ha! Lexi’s mom threw her a wonderful
baby shower where she and Thaddeus got a lot of stuff they would need, such as
a high chair, diapers, little clothes, the works. Thaddeus was slightly
freaking out, though, like every father does. Come to think of it, Lexi was
too. After all, the pair of them were in the room when Mal died. I mean, sure,
that baby was spelled in there and meant to kill Mal, but it was still a terrifying
thought. But they didn’t want to tell each other as to not implant the thought
in each other’s heads. Even so, they both were having nightmares about it that
kept them wrapped in each other’s arms at night. Though, their nightmares were
a little bit different. Lexi’s ended after she flatlined and Thaddeus’s kept on
going where he had to raise a child on his own and deal with depression of
losing Lexi. Lexi would wake up a lot in the night because of it and Thaddeus
was glad for a reason to escape from his dream and they would be each other’s
emotional support.
When Christmas and new years had
passed, Lexi was at nine months and her and Thaddeus were both getting
increasingly stressed out and ready to go at any moment. Thaddeus’s boss was
really nice and gave him a few days off when he found out Lexi had been put on
bedrest even though Lexi’s mom was spending days with her and they both took
care of Lexi.
One night after Thaddeus and Lexi went
to bed, Lexi couldn’t sleep because she was having contractions and they were
getting really close together. When they reached ten minutes apart, she knew it
was time go to the hospital. But just as she was about to wake Thaddeus, her T
shirt and her bedsheets were suddenly soaked in liquid! Lexi urgently shook
Thaddeus’s shoulder. “What?” Thaddeus exclaimed in surprise.
“Thaddeus, my water just broke! The
baby’s coming!” Lexi said urgently. Boy, did Thaddeus JUMP. He sprang up from
the bed, grabbed his glasses from the nightstand and grabbed Lexi’s hospital
bag, his coat, socks, and boots. (It was mid-January, it was very cold.) Lexi
got up, put on some boots and Thaddeus helped her out of the door. It was time
to have the baby.
