Chapter 8, The night things went wrong

“Uh, that’s not good,” Bridgett gasped. Breanna nodded.

“I feel bad for joking right now,” she said as she shook her head. Breanna’s phone started buzzing and it vibrated the table. “It’s Gabrielle,” Breanna said and answered.

“You guys just saw that, right?” she asked in a panic.

“Yeah, what are we going to do?” Breanna sighed. Lexi turned to Thaddeus.

“We call them, right?” Lexi asked. Thaddeus nodded.

“Definitely,” Thaddeus agreed. Lexi quickly picked up her phone and dialed Ben’s phone number.

“Come on, pick up, pick up, pick up!” Lexi exclaimed softly as her forehead broke into a sweat and she clutched Thaddeus’s hand like a vice.

“Hello?” Ben’s voice answered on the other end. Lexi exhaled.

“Hi. Um, I’m sorry, Mad Maddy escaped?!” Lexi exclaimed.

“Yeah! We saw her outside our window just a few minutes ago!” Ben sounded afraid, which was not a good omen. Then again, that could just be the dad and husband in him talking. So, Lexi did her best to sound calm but she was nervously tugging on her clothes.

“What are we going to do?” Lexi asked, tugging on her sweater collar because it was getting too hot in there.

“You guys don’t have to worry about it. Let us handle it, okay?” Ben asked. Lexi looked around at everyone, she wasn’t sure.

“No! You have to let us help,” Breanna commanded.

“You need to focus on your school,” Ben reminded them. “Let us handle this,”. Breanna sighed.

“Alright, we’ll let you handle it,”

“Good. Well, goodbye.” Ben said hung up. They all looked at each other.

“We’re supposed to listen, right?” Gabrielle asked as she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

“Yes,” Lexi sighed.

“Are we really going to sit back and let them fall apart?” Breanna asked.

“If they need help, they’ll ask us,” Kaylee reminded.

“I guess you’re right,” Breanna said as she leaned back in her chair.

“But what if they die?” Bridgett panicked.

“But do you remember who they have on their side?” Lexi asked. “The VKs,”

“And they were the ones that protected Auradon and they did just fine,” Thaddeus added.

“And like Kaylee said, if they need any help, they’ll contact us,” Breanna reminded.

“So, they’ll be fine?” Gabrielle asked.

“Yes, and so will we,” Thaddeus comforted. A couple of weeks later, everybody was off school for Christmas and they were very glad. They were still kind of scared about the Mad Maddy incident and they were happy they didn’t have to worry about schoolwork too. After a happy Christmas and new year’s, they were back at school again. Lexi and Thaddeus were getting deep into wedding planning and both were starting to get dark circles around their eyes from no sleep and stress. Lexi’s mom threw Lexi a bridal shower and now they had things to put in their home, which they were also trying to get one of those as well. So, Lexi almost cried when she realized the wedding was only two weeks away. She and her mom and her friends went wedding dress shopping before the year even ended and she got a gorgeous dress that was made of creamy colored tool with flower lace, cap sleeves and a poofy skirt. The wedding was going to be held in Auradon at the beautiful pavilion at the Enchanted Lake. Dizzy and Evie started to decorate the place befitting the theme Thaddeus and Lexi had chosen. It was nice and simple. Beautiful. Lexi had her wedding bouquet picked out as well. As you might have guessed, daisies and lavender sprigs. Before they even knew it, the night before the wedding was there and excitement was in the air. Since it was the weekend, Lexi had decided to go home for her last night as an unmarried woman and she was excited and nervous all at once. Her mom, her sisters (They had come into town for this, of course, and her brothers did as well) and her friends had thrown her a bachelorette party. It was pretty fun, Dr Pepper shots and all. But it was time for the bride to get her beauty rest so they all went to bed.

Lexi was suddenly roused by a noise. Thinking it was morning and it was time get ready for the big day, she opened her eyes. The sun wasn’t up yet. She must have woken up early. Sure enough, her clock said it was 3:00 am. She needed to get back to sleep, if she could. There was a sudden shift in her bedroom and she felt hands on her! One of them covered her mouth and the other scooped her off of her bed! She tried to scream but the hand tightened over her mouth so no one in the house would hear her! She thrashed violently in the arms, but the arms did not loosen. She started to hyperventilate as she tried to see who was kidnapping her but they wouldn’t let her turn around! She eventually passed out from fear. When she woke up, she was bound in ropes like when Thaddeus was under the spell and had captured her. But when she looked up to see who was there, it was a very unpleasant sight indeed. She saw Karen Keene and Adam Zeller.

  Chapter 14 When Lexi and Thaddeus arrived to Homecoming, they were the last of their friend group to get there. When they walked in, the fangirls squealed about how pretty they all looked.   The “Little Moments” Storyline 😊 (Eight months after Lexi and Thaddeus were married😊) I woke up with a smile on my face that morning of October 21 st .   The “Love is an Open Door” scene ☹😊 I jump at the sound of the doorbell. I’ve been sitting on pins and needles for thirty minutes after I got ready, waiting for Adam to come and pick me up for the homecoming dance. I was wearing a deep sapphire blue dress, one of the school colors. Adam would be wearing a red tie, our other school color. All of the rest of my friends are just going solo, even Thaddeus, which confused me.
