Chapter five of Fangirls, book three!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D
Chapter 5, Here we go again
Lexi was in her room, addressing
wedding announcements. Thaddeus did their engagement photos just a few days
before. Lexi was just putting the announcement in an envelope and addressing it
to her grandparents, when her phone buzzed in her back pocket. Thinking it
might be Thaddeus bidding her goodnight, she picked it up. But it wasn’t that.
It was the group chat of both Auradonions and Americans. And it was from Ben.
“Something bad has happened here!
Mallory was kidnapped and we have no idea who did it! We need you to come here
first thing in the morning…” Lexi gasped.
“Oh, no! Oh no, no, no!” Lexi exclaimed.
Breanna came running into her bedroom. Since they all went to the same college,
they all lived in the same apartment.
“What’s going on?” she asked. Lexi
pointed at the screen. “Oh, boy!” Breanna exclaimed. Lexi nodded.
“This is bad, this is really, really
bad!” Lexi cried. Breanna looked at her.
“Okay Lexi, breathe. Inhale, exhale,”
Breanna told her, and Lexi did so.
“Okay, so we’re going to Auradon
tomorrow morning?” Breanna asked. Lexi nodded. Breanna sighed.
“Here we go again.”
The next morning, all the fangirls
(and Thaddeus of course) all went to Auradon. They came to Castle Beast to find
a red-eyed Mal and a very scared looking Ben, who had his arm around Mal. They
both had dark shadows under their eyes from no sleep because they had been up all-night
searching. Braydon and Michelle were with Beast and Belle. Evie, Doug, Jay and
Lonnie were there too. (Lonnie had had the baby by now. It was a girl.) Lexi
had sympathetic look in her eyes. She came over and gave Mal and Ben hugs. “We
are going to do everything we can to find Mallory. Everything’s going to be
fine,” Lexi said gently. Ben smiled weakly.
“Thanks Lexi,” He whispered. Lexi gave
a little closed-lipped smile.
“So, what happened?” Gabrielle asked.
Mal turned to her, sniffling a bit.
“We were on a date and Belle called us
saying that she put Mallory in her crib for bed and then later she heard her
crying so she went to get her and she was gone!” she broke down and started
crying right then. They all gave Mal sympathetic looks as Ben wrapped her in
his arms and Mrs. Potts came in, with a tray of cookies and twelve steaming
mugs of hot chocolate. Ben smiled his thanks as he took a mug and cookie and
handed it to Mal. Mal shook her head and pushed the mug away. “I can’t think
about food right now,” Mal said softly. Ben shook his head.
“Mal, you need to eat,” Ben told her.
Mal sighed.
“Alright,” she said and took the
cookie and mug. Evie put her arms around Mal and enveloped her in a big hug.
Jay joined in and made it a group hug and soon, they all wrapped Ben and Mal in
the mega group hug.
“So, what do you think we should do?”
Kaylee asked. Ben sighed.
“We sent the guards after everyone in
the kingdom, but no one has her,” Ben explained. Bridgett chewed her lip.
“You don’t think Mad Maddy has her, do
you?” she asked concernedly.
Mal put her head in her arms. “I
didn’t want to think about that idea,” Mal sighed; her speech muffled by her
arms. Ben put his arm around Mal’s shoulders again and she leaned her head
against his chest.
“It might be a breach in her barrier,”
Ben admitted.
“So, are we going to check her out?”
Breanna asked. Ben turned to Mal. Mal nodded.
“Yes. Yes, we are.”
The day after that, Mal and Ben went
to the Isle of the Doomed to storm her barracks. Sure enough, they looked like
they had the entire Royal guard with them. They decided to just have Mal and
Ben go to limit travel. When they arrived, Mal very angerly pounded on her
door. Mad Maddy answered it, looking irritated and surprised when she saw them
all standing in front of her. “Where is she?!” Mal exclaimed. Mad Maddy looked
even more surprised.
“Who? That stupid little brat of yours?”
she asked. Mal’s cheeks flushed beet red.
“Guards,” Ben said, motioning for them
to come closer. Mad Maddy cackled, (So uncharacteristic, right?)
“Please, I didn’t take your little
brat. I applaud whoever did, though. Missed my chance to kill Mal and her
little devils. Like mother, like kids, right?” Mad Maddy giggled in Ben’s face.
Ben’s face turned an ugly brick red.
“Guards,” he repeated, motioning for
them to go inside her little shack. They stormed inside. Two of them pinned Mad
Maddy down while the others searched the shack. Soon, they came back, holding a
screaming Mallory. Mal sighed in relief and started crying tears of joy as she
took Malory from the Guard’s arms. Ben sighed in relief as well as he wrapped
his arms around Mal and the baby. Then he turned to Mad Maddy, who looked
stunned.
“Stop faking it, Maddy,” sighed Ben.
Mad Maddy shook her head.
“I have no idea how she got in there!”
she exclaimed. But even so, the Guards dragged Mad Maddy away.
