Chapter 19 of Fangirls, book two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D

 

Chapter 19, Good feelings

Soon, school was out for the summer and Adam got locked up in the dungeon in Auradon, which was a relief to Lexi, Thaddeus, and all the fangirls. (When they locked him up, Lexi came right up to the bars and said “You know that trying to destroy Auradon is a major deal breaker right? Now have a nice life and a great time in the slammer!” And then she had walked away)

The summer passed with everybody going on vacation at different times. Conner went back to collage at the end of the summer and so did James. Thaddeus breathed a heavy sigh of relief the day that they left. Soon, school started again in the autumn and Thaddeus was in his senior year of high school. He turned eighteen on October twenty-first. Lexi, Breanna, Kaylee and Bridgett were juniors in high school. And Gabrielle was in her sophomore year in high school. Soon the fall was over and winter rolled in, with snow! One day, Lexi and her mom arrived at the school at the same time that Thaddeus and his family did. Lexi met with him. “Hey Thaddeus!” she greeted him, wearing a blue coat and a lavender hat. Thaddeus smiled and his eyes brightened as they always did when he saw her.

“Hey fangirl!” he replied happily. He was wearing a dark green coat and and a blue scarf. Lexi and him joined hands and started walking into the school together. They chatted about being excited for the winter break that was coming up soon, when Lexi’s foot slid in the ice and she slipped and almost fell. But before she did, Thaddeus caught her hand and he twirled her around and dipped her. Then he kissed her.

“Be careful, fangirl,” he chuckled. “don’t want to break your other ankle,” he said, meaning when she broke her ankle earlier in the year. Lexi giggled as she stood up again.

“We both know I wouldn’t like that,” she giggled, smiling at Thaddeus. They both walked into the gym to sit there before class started. The other fangirls greeted them cheerfully as they sat down.

“So, do you guys want to do something altogether for the winter talent show this year?” Bridgett asked. Thaddeus chuckled, thinking about last year and what he did for the winter talent show, with some slight embarrassment. Lexi nodded her head as she took off her coat.

“Yeah, I think so! What do you guys think?” Lexi asked. They all agreed that they should do something together, that that would be really fun.

“What do you think we should do?” Gabrielle wondered. Breanna thought about it.

“Can you guys all sing?” she asked everybody. They all nodded. Breanna smiled. Then she explained her idea that maybe they could sing a song a Capella style. They all nodded and smiled.

“That sounds fun!” Kaylee said excitedly. “Can I make the back drop again?” she asked. They all laughed and Breanna nodded. So, they all practiced every day after school. The song that they would be singing was Sleigh Ride. Lexi said she would come up with a little dance they could do while they sang, and Gabrielle made outfits again. She was working overtime after school because, that was a lot of outfits and these things take time. The night of the talent show arrived and they sang the song. Once again, they got a standing ovation. At least from some people.

So, they all went on winter break and entered the new year. They went through the school year and Lexi, Breanna, Kaylee and Bridgett all turned seventeen. Gabrielle turned sixteen that year. Soon, homecoming time had rolled around again and Lexi and Thaddeus had obviously went together. Breanna and Henry went together again too because they were boyfriend and girlfriend too. Kaylee went with Peter again too and Bridgett with Mitchell again. Oliver had asked Gabrielle and she accepted happily. They all went on group date this time and went to dinner before the dance at Olive Garden. A few weeks later, graduation rolled around and Thaddeus had graduated with honors. And then he decided that he would go on a two-year service trip like Conner and James had. He was called to serve in Dublin, Ireland. Lexi would miss him a lot while he was gone, but it was a good thing he was about to do and she was really happy for him. And she promised him that she would date anyone else while he was gone. He left on September 11, 2026 and he would return on September 11, 2028.

  The “Love is an Open Door” scene ☹😊 I jump at the sound of the doorbell. I’ve been sitting on pins and needles for thirty minutes after I got ready, waiting for Adam to come and pick me up for the homecoming dance.
