Chapter 17 of Fangirls, book two!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D
Chapter 17, Revenge is in Order
Thaddeus had just got home from the Homecoming Dance. His family immediately pounced on him. “So, how did it go?” Hadley asked, bouncing up and down.
Thaddeus chuckled.
“Well, we actually didn’t see much of homecoming. Mal went into labor,” Thaddeus explained, smiling widely. He explained the whole story about Mal dying during child birth but then true love's kiss came in to play. After reassuring them that Mal, Ben, and both babies were just fine, he told them about himself and Lexi. “So, um, Lexi and I were sitting outside of the hospital room and then we talked for a moment and then we danced right there in hallway because she talked about us missing homecoming. And then I said that I love her and I kissed her,” he explained in a rush. Lucy and Hadley squealed.
“Oh, my gosh you’re so good at this!!” they gushed
in unison. Thaddeus started laughing.
“Anyway, she called me her boyfriend, and I said it had a nice ring to it. She said that she was in love with
me too, and then she kissed me,” Thaddeus finished the story. Austen clapped him on the back.
“Dude! Nicely done!” Austen exclaimed.
Thaddeus smiled. He definitely felt happier than he had felt that whole year.
Later, he called Hailey so he could
tell her all that happened with Mal and then what happened with him and Lexi.
As Thaddeus expected, she got really excited. “Oh, my gosh! I taught you so
well! You did excellent, Thaddeus! I’m so proud of you!” she exclaimed through
the phone. “So, are you going to get into trouble with her brothers?” she
asked. Thaddeus chuckled.
“Trouble? You’re only in trouble if you caught,” (Aladdin) Thaddeus said. Just then, he got an interrupting call from the one he had with Hailey. It was Conner calling him. Thaddeus suddenly threw the phone across the room and screamed. “Aah! I’m in trouble!” (Aladdin) Thaddeus screamed. Hailey got a little confused.
“Thaddeus? What the heck just happened?!” she exclaimed. Thaddeus walked over and picked up the phone from where it had landed on his bed.
“Um, Conner's calling me,” Thaddeus groaned.
Hailey gasped. “Oh, no,” she said, “I think you better answer it.”
Thaddeus grimaced. “Okay,” he said as he answered the interrupting
call. “Hello?” he said in a shaky sort of voice.
“Did you kiss Lexi?” Conner asked.
Thaddeus closed his eyes really tight.
“Y-y-yes,” he said softly. Just then,
Lexi broke into Conner’s room, which was the guest room in the house.
“What are you doing?” she questioned accusingly.
Thaddeus heard her voice over the phone and sighed with relief.
“Um, nothing,” James answered, with a tad too much innocence. Lexi
suddenly snatched the phone out of Conner’s grasp.
“Sorry Thaddeus,” she said. “Don’t let
them scare you.” Thaddeus snickered.
“Okay. I love you,” he said to her.
Lexi smiled.
“I love you too,” she said happily as she
hit the red button and hung up the phone. Then Lexi turned on her brothers.
“Really? I haven’t been dating him for twenty-four hours and you’re already
tormenting him,” she said in disapproval. Then she turned on her heel and left
the room.
Meanwhile, in Auradon, the prison guards were bringing Mad Maddy her daily gruel to eat. A rotten apple and corn that had turned brown. Mad Maddy caught what they were saying.
“Did hear what happened last night?” the female guard asked the male one.
He shook his head.
“No. What happened?” he asked.
“The royal baby was born last night! Except, there were two! The second one killed the queen though but she came back to life because of true love’s kiss!” she exclaimed happily. Mad Maddy growled, but the guards didn’t notice.
“Really? Did their majesties know that there was another baby?”
The female guard shook her head. “No. I heard that the baby was put in by magic,” she explained. Mad Maddy smirked. Soon, the guards noticed her evil little smile.
“Do you have something to do with that?” the male guard asked sternly, glaring at Mad Maddy. Mad Maddy was about to speak again but she quailed a little at the guards menacing glare.
“Um, uh, I might have,” she whispered. The guard’s eyes widened very much.
“You will tell us your intentions with the king, the queen and the royal babies!” the female guard exclaimed. Mad Maddy regained some of her malicious courage right then.
“I won’t talk!” she exclaimed. The two guards exchanged glances and then looked back at Mad Maddy.
“Okay, how about you tell us and we spare your life!” the
male guard yelled. Mad Maddy scoffed.
“Oh, yeah right. You’re from Auradon. You guys are all goody goodies. Like you guys would kill anyone,” she scoffed as she rolled her eyes. The guards exchanged glances again.
“Oh, we won’t?” the guard said menacingly as he pulled his sword from his sheath. Mad Maddy screamed.
“I put the baby in Mal when I blasted her in the arm with that fireball knowing it would kill her so that’s why I did it! Please don’t kill me!” she screamed. The male guard put his sword back in his sheath.
“Was there anyone else helping
you with this?” the guard asked. Mad Maddy was still trembling from fear.
“Just people I spelled! And some kid
named from another dimension named Adam Zeller!” she exclaimed.
“I have a phone call to make,” the male
guard said as he pulled out his phone. “Watch her please,” he dialed
the king of Auradon’s phone number.
Ben and Mal were sitting in the hospital room and trying to get baby Michelle (That’s what they decided to name their little princess. Their boy was named Braydon. Brady for short) to stop crying and drink some milk, when Ben’s phone started ringing.
“It’s Mad Maddy’s guard!” he exclaimed and answered the phone quickly. “Hello. What happened?” Ben asked. The guard didn’t answer right away because he heard the baby crying.
“Are you still in the hospital your majesty?” he asked. Ben nodded even though the guard couldn’t see him.
“Yes, they said she could go home tomorrow. What is it?” Ben asked.
“Um, we found out something that Mad
Maddy did,” he said and he dove into the story about what Mad Maddy did. There
was a long silence at Ben’s end. Even the baby had quieted down. “Are you
alright your majesty?” the guard asked. Ben took a deep breath.
“Deliver her to the Isle of the doomed
and fulfill these orders,” Ben ordered. Then Ben explained what he wanted
done with her. The guard nodded.
“Yes, your majesty,” the guard replied
and Ben hung up the phone. Mad Maddy was delivered to the Isle of the
doomed where the Fairy Godmother put up a magical barrier that kept out all magic. The only means of food she got were scraps from the Auradon mainland. Just
like before. The only television she got was the news of the royal
family where she was doomed to watch Mal, fully alive and happy for the rest of
her life.
