Chapter six of Fangirls, book two!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D
Chapter 6, Trouble’s brewing
At the next council meeting, they discussed that there had been forest fires in Sherwood Forest and almost to Camelot. Just like last time. Well, sort of. They looked in the museum to see if the dragon’s eye was there and it was not. Mal and Ben knew that people would freak out so they didn’t tell anyone about it. But somehow, the word got out. Everyone started freaking out about that. They did not want a repeat of what happened last time Audrey stole it. Ben and Mal tried to calm everyone down by saying they had a team trying to fix everything. (The Fangirls and Thaddeus) But that didn’t seem to do anything. They had to track down Audrey. She was hiding in fairy cottage and she seemed totally different. Evil even. They put her into the old dungeon that Morrice had been thrown in years ago. She was not pleased, as was suspected. But everything with the weather was still happening.
“Do you think she might have been framed?” Lexi asked at the next council meeting, which Evie and Jay were attending as well. Mal shrugged.
“I honestly don’t know,” Mal said. But then, Ben nodded.
“I think so, but I don’t think we should remove Audrey of custody yet. She seems evil.” Ben explained. Heads nodded around the table.
“What should we do?” Breanna asked. Evie looked
thoughtful.
“May I see that book of yours?” she asked Breanna, who nodded and handed her the book. She began reading it and gasping at some parts. Finally, she looked up from the book. “I think we should call Yen Sid. He probably will be able to help us figure it out. And the old anti-hero’s club,” she suggested. Everyone that wasn’t from Auradon gasped.
“The
Yen Sid?” Thaddeus asked in disbelief. “He is one of my absolute favorite
fiction characters ever!” Everyone looked at him.
“Really? I didn’t know that! I bet you were excited when he showed up in the books, huh?” Lexi asked. Thaddeus nodded and smiled.
“Okay, all well and good, but we should call him now,” Mal said, bringing the attention back to the matter at hand. Once again, everyone nodded. Mal pulled out her phone and dialed his phone number. After a few rings, he answered.
“Hello Mal. I heard about the baby! Congratulations!” he said kindly.
Mal smiled.
“Thank you so much! So, we had a
question for you,” Mal said. There was a small pause.
“Yes?” Yen Sid asked.
“Could you come down to Auradon city?
We need your help,” Mal explained.
“Of course, I’ll come! What for?” Mal
took a deep breath. She hadn’t been looking forward to this part of the
conversation. But she explained the situation. Yen Sid sounded thoughtful. “So,
what do you think is happening?” He asked. Mal shook her head.
“We have no idea. That’s why we want
you to come,” Mal explained. “And if you could contact the anti-hero’s club,
that would be great,” Mal said.
“Of course. I’ll come next week,” he
said. After a little bit of small talk, they said good bye and hung up.
Next week, everyone in the anti-hero’s group showed up. Even Mad Maddy, which made Mal slightly uneasy. But she smiled at everyone and came to her little brother. “Hadie! It’s so good to see you, little bro!” Mal exclaimed, giving him a hug.
“Hey Mal! I haven’t seen you in a long time!” he replied, then he said hello to Ben. Thaddeus was freaking out at the fact that him and Yen Sid were breathing the same air. Soon after, the meeting began.
“So, what do you think is happening?” Evie asked Yen Sid. Yen Sid shook his head in disbelief.
“The greatest thing ever,” he replied. Hadie’s
eyes widened.
“Um, what?” Hadie asked. Mal looked
bewildered.
“Excuse me professor?” Mal asked, very
confused indeed. Shock was written all over the room.
“This is the greatest thing to ever happen in Auradon history! How do you not see that?!” he asked, turning frosty and cold. Mal and Ben exchanged dark and terrified looks with each other and started trying to take control of the meeting again, but they had lost all control of the room. Thaddeus looked shocked. He knew that Yen Sid wouldn’t do anything like this.
“None of this is great!” Lexi exclaimed. Thaddeus’s eyes
widened. That’s brave,
He thought. “This is not at all great.
This is awful and you know it!” Lexi cried. Yen Sid looked furious.
“I could do so much damage to you right now,” he said menacingly. Thaddeus’s face turned red with fury and he put a protective arm around Lexi.
“Don’t touch her,” he said softly, but just as menacingly as Yen Sid had just spoken. Jay and Ben quickly got up and grabbed Yen Sid by both arms. And they dragged him out of the door. Thaddeus removed his arm from Lexi’s shoulders and cleared his throat awkwardly. And then he staired at his shoes.
“Wow, that was really brave,” Lexi said shyly “Thanks.”
“Oh, you’re welcome.” Thaddeus said,
blushing red. Mal called the meeting to order again.
“Okay everybody! Um, Yen Sid wasn’t himself today. You all can go now,” Mal said to everybody. She gave Hadie a hug before he left.
“It’s a shame about Yen Sid, right?” Mad Maddy said to Mal
suddenly.
Mal gasped, startled at the sudden
voice. “Yeah, I was hoping that he could help us with the stuff that’s
happening right now,” Mal sighed. Mad Maddy smiled.
“Well, I hope you figure it out soon,”
she said mischievously. Mal nodded and smiled. Mad Maddy walked out after their
little conversation.
Later, Mal and Ben were sitting in
their bedroom and talking about the meeting. “Why do you think Yen Sid was
acting like he was?” Ben asked. Mal shook her head uncertainly.
“I don’t know. I mean he threatened
Lexi. He was acting so evil!” Mal cried. Ben put his arm around her.
“He was acting like he was under some
sort of spell. Like mind control! When Uma put me under that love spell, I
remember acting kind of like that. Maybe someone in the room had him under mind
control,” Mal gasped.
“Who do you think it was?” Mal asked.
Ben shook his head.
“I don’t know, that’s the thing! Did anyone seem untrustworthy?” Ben asked. Mal thought about it. No one exactly seemed suspicious. Mad Maddy seemed a little strange, but she was always strange. And she was good now. These thoughts were just stupid.
“No,” Mal
replied. “No one was.”
The fangirls and Thaddeus were walking
past the tree and getting to the place where they always did the portal. “Okay,
when Yen Sid threatened Lexi, I was absolutely terrified,” Bridgett said.
Yeah, tell me about it,
Thaddeus thought. “Yeah, I was too,”
Gabrielle said, hugging Bridgett. Kaylee sighed deeply.
“I just don’t know why Yen Sid was
acting like that,” Kaylee said. Just then, the group chat that had the fangirls
and the fanboy, Mal, Ben, Jay and Evie went off. Mal was talking.
We took Yen Sid to the hospital and
they say he was under mind control. He said that he was so sorry and that he
didn’t know what he was saying.
It read. “Oh, so that’s what was
wrong,” Breanna said. They all nodded. And they agreed that they would all go
see him on Saturday.
