Prologue of Fangirls, Book Two!!!!!!! :D:D
Fangirls book 2 by Bella Simmons
Prologue
Lexi was dead to begin with! Just
kidding! She’s still very much alive, thank you. But she is really lonely. She
moved to Jefferson Illinoi in the year 2021. And they found a very good family
school and Lexi found a very best friend named Lilly. But her dad was in the
Military too and they moved a few months after they joined the family school.
After Lilly left, everyone noticed what a fangirl Lexi was now that she was
alone and they made fun of her. Lexi was glad when they moved to Los Angeles
California and Lexi made very good friends. But Cristy had left when they lived
in New Mexico, Conner went a service trip for two years shortly after they
moved to California, and where our story starts, James went on service trip for
two years too. At that point, Lexi was so lonely because since they grew up in
the Military, the Piper siblings were each other’s first friends all the time.
And now, almost all her family was gone. So, fourteen-year-old Lexi (She was
almost fifteen, though. Her birthday is on February 6th.) was sitting on the couch,
trying in vain to cheer herself up by reading Return to the Isle of the Lost.
Her favorite Isle of the Lost book. But, no luck. She was crying and this
wasn’t helping so she put it down so she didn’t get tear drops on it. Then, her
parents walked in to where she was crying. “Lexi, what’s wrong?” Mom asked.
“It’s too quiet,” she said, a few tears
running down her cheeks. Dad raised his eyebrows.
“It’s too quiet?” Dad asked. Lexi
nodded.
“It’s too empty,” Lexi sobbed.
“You miss your siblings, huh?” Mom
asked. Lexi nodded.
“I’m really lonely,” Lexi said, still
crying. Dad nodded.
“Well, we’re still here. And well, we thought you’d be lonely. And, we thought you’d be less sad if we told you that we’re retiring early and that we’re retiring in Albuquerque New Mexico!” he exclaimed. Lexi immediately stopped crying.
“What?! That’s what I was hoping
you’d pick!” Lexi exclaimed. “When are we going?” she asked.
“Six months,” Mom answered. Lexi
smiled.
“That’s so soon! Are we retiring to
our old area?” she asked. Mom chuckled.
“We figured you’d have a lot of questions. Yes, we are. And we’ve already arranged for you to back to the family school you used to go to,” Lexi started squealing. Some things never change.
“YES! That means I can see my old friends again!!” she squealed. “I
have to go tell them!” she said as she hugged her parents and ran out of the
room.
Meanwhile, Breanna, Kaylee, Bridgett
and Gabrielle were sitting in the corner, (No surprise) before class started and
Thaddeus was walking by, when he happened to hear what they were saying. The
fangirls were all fourteen too except Gabrielle who was thirteen and Thaddeus,
who was sixteen. “Did you hear? the Pieper's are moving back!” Breanna exclaimed.
Thaddeus was confused. Did he hear that right?
“Wait, what?” he said coming over to
them.
“Didn’t you hear?” Breanna asked him.
Thaddeus scoffed.
“Well, obviously I didn’t hear and
that’s why I’m asking,” he said sassily.
“The Pieper's are moving back,” Breanna said, enunciating on the syllables. “Lexi’s coming home!” she exclaimed. Thaddeus couldn’t help jumping up and down with the rest.
“But it’s only her,
right?” he asked. Gabrielle nodded.
“Yep. Cristy got married when Lexi was
thirteen, Conner’s at college right now, and James is finishing up his service
trip. It’s just Lexi at home now,” Gabrielle explained. Breanna nodded.
“She texted me earlier this week. She said she was feeling pretty lonely,” Breanna said. Thaddeus’s eyes widened.
“She’s feeling lonely?” he asked. Breanna rolled her eyes.
“Not that kind of lonely! I mean yes, she is single, but not the lonely kind,” Breanna said. Thaddeus shook his head.
“No, I mean she’s lonely, so we should go to her house and make her less lonely,” Thaddeus explained. Breanna nodded.
“So, you’re not going to ask her to homecoming?” she asked. This family school had a dance every year that only fourteen and up can attend.
“Well maybe, but just as friends,”
Thaddeus said. “I don’t really have a
crush on her anymore,” he said. Bridgett nodded.
“Oh, okay. Well, how are going to ask
her?” she asked. Thaddeus shrugged.
“Just a simple ‘will you go to
homecoming with me?’” Thaddeus said. Either way, everyone was so excited to see
an old friend in familiar territory.
