Chapter 13 Shock and pain

Lexi was still in shock, when she heard a familiar voice. “Well, well, well. Look who decided to show up, and took her own sweet time about it!” said Thaddeus menacingly. Breanna heard that it was Thaddeus’s voice and she gasped, but Jay covered her mouth. Lexi was about to turn around, when Thaddeus used his newfound magic and grabbed her and tied her up! Jay ran in to free her but he got tied up as well. Breanna couldn’t even speak before he got her too. Lexi was breathing shallowly and trying to compose herself. 

“Thaddeus, what are you doing?” she asked. Thaddeus sighed.

“Destroying Auradon. What does it look like I’m doing?” he said, as if this was obvious. Which, I guess it was. Lexi’s eyebrows lowered in confusion. 

“Why?” she asked. Thaddeus rolled his eyes in annoyance.

“Getting revenge on who killed my parents,” Lexi rolled her eyes too.

“Okay, first of all, whoever killed your parents it was an accident. That’s why they call them car accidents! Second who ever hit your parents doesn’t even live here!”

“Oh, but she is here,” he said softly. Lexi raised her eyebrows.

“Oh, really? Who is she?” Lexi asked. Thaddeus nodded his head toward her. Lexi raised her eyebrows again. “What?! Why do you think it’s me?” Lexi cried. Thaddeus scoffed.

“Because it is you!” he cried and showed her the orb with the memory in it.

“That isn’t real! I don’t even know how to drive!” she exclaimed. Thaddeus glared.

“You liar!” he exclaimed with an ounce of actual pain in his voice. Lexi sighed, sort of wishing she had never come here at all. 

“How did I even get here?” she muttered to herself.

“Oh, I can tell you,” he said softly. Lexi scoffed.

“Oh, really?” she said, just as softly.

“Remember that little purple bean you found in your backpack? I put that that there,” Lexi eyes widened

“What?” she cried.

“And I captured Ben. Well, Hades captured him, but it was my idea. And I planned to have you land right in front of everybody and I knew once you heard Ben was in trouble you would want to help! So, I’ve been waiting for quite a while for you to come and here and face me!” Thaddeus exclaimed. Lexi felt shocked that he had come up with this devious plan. And that he led her to him.

 

“Thaddeus this is ridiculous! Descendants pun not intended, but welcomed!” she said hotly. Breanna nodded in agreement. 

“Yeah!” she said. Jay just looked confused. 

“Descendants pun?” he whispered to himself. Then Lexi saw the dragon’s eye scepter in the corner. 

“You stole the scepter and pulled an "Audrey"?! I can’t even look at you right now,” Lexi said. In Lexi's eyes, pulling an Audrey was the worst thing ever. Thaddeus scoffed again and rolled his eyes. 

“It was calling out to me!” He turned around and pressed a hearing device in his ear.

“Hades, launch the trap,” he said with a wicked smile on his face. Lexi scoffed softly.

“Think that everyone is safe, do you?” he said. “Well, that place that they were evacuated too, that’s where the trap is going to be! And I also plan on killing Ben once I get there!” then he cackled. Lexi gasped.

“If you trap my best friends, my childhood heroes, and kill my childhood crush, I will come out of this and I will crush you!” she said angerly.

“How can you do that if you’re all tied up?” he said meanly. Oh, I won’t be tied up for much longer

She thought as started to untie herself. Breanna saw her doing it and followed suit. They had both learned it in a self-defense class in school. As soon as they were free, they walked behind Thaddeus very quietly and Lexi kicked him in between his legs and Breanna punched him in the face and they both grabbed his hand’s and flipped him over. “Oh, that’s going to hurt in the morning!” Lexi laughed.

“Or right now,” Breanna said as they high fived. Then Breanna gasped.

“What?” Lexi asked she saw. Breanna had red sparks coming out of her hands.

“NO WAY!” Breanna exclaimed excitedly. Her and Lexi were hugging and squealing and jumping up and down. 

“Um, hello?” Jay said.

“Oh, sorry,” Lexi said as she untied him.

“Well, I’m going to have teach you how to control your powers” Lexi said. Luckily, Breanna was a fast learner. Soon, she was doing spells like a pro. 

“That was awesome!” she said as did one spell that was particularly hard.

“Good job! Okay now, we need to go!” Lexi said, as soon as she saw that Thaddeus was gone. They didn’t notice him leaving. So, they ran all the way to the outskirts of Auradon city where they saw Thaddeus in the helicopter, blasting everything with the dragon’s eye. 

“Beware forswear free the people from in there!” the girls shouted at the same time. All of the sudden, the trap burst open and everyone was free.
