Chapter 8 Dreams come true

“Um, where did you come from?” Mal asked. Lexi couldn’t breathe for moment but, she regained her sanity and curtseyed. 

“Um, Alexa Bridgett Piper if it pleases you,” she said in an elegant voice, and the other girls followed suit in curtsying.  Mal shook her head. 

“You don’t have to curtsey,” she said. 

This time, Lexi shook her head. “But, you’re a queen, right?” Lexi asked. Mal nodded.

“Well, yes but you don’t have to curtsy,” Mal said. Lexi shrugged. But then, some of her friends were leaning on her, and swooning. That’s probably because they saw Harry and Jay. But Breanna was not and she looked confused. 

“Wait, where’s Carlos?”. Mal frowned at the question.

“He. . . died, almost a year ago,” she said in a dark tone. Breanna frowned sadly, but she didn’t say anything more. 

“I’m so sorry for your loss,” Lexi said. “I thought it was just the actor that died.” Lexi said softly. 

“No, they both died. Wait what?” Mal asked. “Actor?” Breanna nodded.

“Yeah, the Descendants movies,” she said. It was amazing how confused Mal looked.

“The movies that you’re in,” Lexi explained as if it were obvious, which to the fangirls, I guess it was. Mal shrugged.

“So, they made documentaries about us?” Mal asked.

“Well, I didn’t know they were documentaries. I thought it was fiction!!” Lexi exclaimed. “Oh, and by the way, you were SUCH an IDIOT!!! I’m sorry, I had to get that out of my system, I’m sorry,” Lexi said apologetically. 

“Why am I idiot?” Mal asked, sounding a little offended. 

“Oh, don’t you pretend like you don’t know,” Gabrielle said. Mal shook her head.

“I don’t know,” Mal said. Lexi sighed dramatically.

“Oh, how you lied to and kept secrets from your perfect boyfriend all while he was making you a stained-glass window,” Lexi said. Again, Mal looked very confused.

“I didn’t know he was making a stained-glass window! And, how did you know that?”

“It’s in the documentaries. Speaking of which, where’s Ben?” Lexi asked. Mal looked very concerned when she asked. 

“Um, he actually got captured.” Mal said. Then they heard Celia from the background. 

“And if he dies, it’s my fault!!” she exclaimed worriedly. Evie covered Celia's mouth.

“Celia, there are some queen sized ears in the presence. Shut up, please,” Evie said. All the fangirls gasped in unison.

“Can we help you rescue him?” Breanna asked. Mal shook her head again.

“No, it’s too dangerous,” Mal said. Lexi got an intense look on her face.

“We’re not taking no for an answer. We have dreamed about this for so long!!” Lexi exclaimed.

Mal raised her eyebrows. “Okay then, I guess we could use your fury,” Mal said, sounding a little scared.

Lexi squealed and so did the rest of the fangirls as they joined the group. Lexi was so amazed to be in Auradon because well, she’s kind of dreamed about that her whole life. They kept on walking (well, more like speed walking) for miles until, “Wait, what’s that?” Dizzy said as she pointed to a small door with the helicopter right beside it. 

“That must be it!” Evie said excitedly. Mal nodded.

“I hope so,” Mal sighed. Evie put an arm around her friend. They walked through the door quietly and crept down the stairs. Once they reached downstairs, they saw a horrible sight. Ben was being lowered into a cage full of blue flame. Then, they saw Hades working him into the cage. Mal looked shocked, angry, and relieved that they found Ben. Lexi however, was actually in shock at seeing Ben. Her legs became jelly, her knees got weak, and in the back of her head, all she could hear was this. I know you; I followed you once upon a dream,.
